Life’s Ripples

Change doesn’t move in straight lines.

At fifty, I looked at my identities of daughter, business partner, wife and caretaker. What I saw was the need to remove these labels in order to find my true self. There was also some grief attached to this shift.

Grief is a valuable tool that helped strip away what was no longer serving me and exposed a pattern beneath my own chaos. That recognition emerged through real thresholds I crossed with hard honesty.

Change doesn’t move in straight lines. It moves in ripples. Each ripple represents a lived practice, not an abstract idea. Each ripple is a gift of seeing, shedding, and stepping forward that slowly transforms survival into living.
